Hi, my name is Kim To, I’m 31years old, and I was diagnosed with ADHD 5 years ago (wow, time flies). I’m now a certified ADHD coach and have been focusing on supporting adults with late ADHD diagnoses. You can read more about me via my website: www.ownyourflair.com .
I hope everyone had a lovely start to 2026! If you are new here, I’m a Certified ADHD coach, and I have been solo-entrepeneuring for 2 years full-time now. I write to share my thoughts, tips, and advice in hopes of helping other neurodivergent people.
The realities of solo-entrepreneuring
It’s been a journey. I first decided to train as a Certified ADHD coach because I wanted to understand how I could support myself better with a combined ADHD diagnosis 5 years ago. Then slowly I realised I can help people with what I learnt, and my empathy was a huge strength of mine. Since the,n I have coached more than 100 women and non-binary people (80% people of colour) with late ADHD or AuDHD diagnosis. Honestly, I’m so blessed for this experience as I’ve learnt so much from my clients.
For anyone who has the itch to start a course, start posting. I hope this inspires you to realise that once you get over the hurdle of starting something, often opportunities come in ways you least expect it!
I’ve been solo-entrepreneuring for 2 years now. When I first started, I just wanted to make rent each month. I removed a lot of expectation on myself and just tried to focus on enjoying building my adhd coaching and neurodiversity consulting business. I wanted to use more of my time to focus on myself and work on my mission to make neurodiversity support accessible to everyone through AI/technology.
I think the key learning here is that yes its important to have business goals like a minimum revenue goal to pay your bills, but excessive pressure can really impact motivation (with ADHD, I can get quite paralysed when I feel overwhelmed, so it's important to just make goals seem realistic)
It is incredibly lonely solo-entrepreneuring. I miss going into an office and seeing the same faces. I do work in WeWork and other co-working spaces, but there is a nostalgia to feeling a sense of community (if you don’t dislike your work colleagues, that is). There is also a lot of pressure for me to stay emotionally regulated, especially when there are downturns in revenue (as in… I’m learning not to panic and to calm my nervous system). At first, when I had a rough month income-wise, my nervous system went into full panic mode. I’m learning to regulate it and to stay calm.
Projects I am working on — ADHD group coaching
I’m currently hosting an 8-week ADHD masterclass-style group coaching series, with each session focusing on a specific topic. I realised I really enjoy sharing my learnings and want to find a fun way to share this with the community

11 Feb 2026: ADHD & Dating: Dopamine, Rumination & Emotional Cycles

My favourite is the ADHD and dating session since I’ve been single for nearly 3 years, and I trained as a dating coach with Logan Ury (author of the book How not to die alone, behavioural science head at Hinge, the dating app), so I’m looking forward to sharing my learnings with everyone!
All sessions have a format of homework and 1 hour of group coaching (30-minute lecture-style followed by 30-minute group work). Each session is £20. You can book the sessions

I’m working on Flairya — the first tech neuroinclusion platform
I had this idea to build a platform where any SME (small business enterprise) could feel like they can afford to support neurodivergent people. Because, as I was working as a neurodiversity consultant, I realised many organisations that wanted to help their disabled and neurodivergent colleagues at work would put on lunch and learns, but I always knew there was a way that tech could help to make the knowledge accessible. That is why I am building Flairya . I’m having some exciting conversations with companies like toogoodtogo, pollinate, and form3, who are previous clients of mine, regarding beta testing. If you know any organisation that may be interested in becoming early beta testers, let me know!
I’m still writing my book, it’s called “I am neurospicey”
I’ve worked as a Certified ADHD coach for more than 3 years now and have accumulated a lot of knowledge around coaching late-diagnosed women, non-binary people with ADHD or AuDHD, and I want to collate all this knowledge into the book I am writing. I must admit, it's been a two-year project because I’m finding it so hard to find time to really hyperfocus on writing it amongst the immediate concerns of making money to make rent each month. But I know deep in my heart that I must write this as my last service to the neurodivergent community before I move on with my career. Fingers crossed, 2026 is the year I will push out this book!
Sneak peek of my cover for the book (It’s draft format), and if you wanted to sign up to the wait list to get announcements when the book comes ou,t feel free to support me here! I’ve shared a prologue of the book. I’m also open to any suggestions or stories people may want to share in the book.

I just want to help people
The other day, someone asked me what I wanted to do. A vague question, I know, but I assume they were asking me about my business and career goals. And all I could say was, I wanted to help people. I worked for 2 years in Management consulting, then 2 years in finance, and it’s only in the last 5 years that I truly felt rewarded for how I was using my time and energy. I’m not a saint, I of course care about making enough money to pay rent (I live by myself with two cats, and it's tough being a single girl in London), but ultimately, I know I want to look back and feel like I helped people. I grew up in a family where I was told constantly I needed to look after other people, and I do think perhaps I bring this to my work, but at least I have the flexibility with my time to look after myself now as well.
So happy New Year, everyone! I hope to be writing a lot more this year.
Follow me on linkedin I’m normally way more active on that channel!
Lots of love, Kim!
