Dopamine dressing, nervous systems & neurotech things

Hi everyone 👋Post valentines dopamine high — hope everyone got their share of love!

🌈 Dopamine Dressing

Have you heard of dopamine dressing?

It’s a concept I came across and I tried it out yesterday when it was pouring with rain and I had to motivate myself to get out of my flat to go to the gym before visiting my parents home for our Chinese New Year meal.

I dressed up, in bright colours (photo below, had to go full red for Chinese new year) and honestly despite the hassle it made me feel happy to be in bright colours. I’m normally out in leggings or comfy clothes but the extra effort made me happy.

So dopamine dressing works, make sure you try it out! (I also used a bit of AI to hype up my background but you get the point of dopamine dressing)

🧠 This Week: Emotional Regulation & ADHD

This week I have my group coaching session all about:

Emotional Regulation & ADHD: Calming the Nervous System

🗓 Wednesday 19th of February 🕖 7pm – 8pm GMT 📍 Zoom

Sign up for this session and any upcoming sessions here

Please do feel free to come along to this intimate masterclass / group coaching session. If your emotions feel big, fast, or exhausting, you are not alone!

This session looks at why emotional regulation is harder with ADHD and what’s happening in your nervous system when you’re overwhelmed.

You’ll leave with tools you can actually use during the workday, at home, and in moments where everything feels like too much.

Something I realised is that I used to panic and feel anxious over every perceived threat (I was diagnosed with PTSD), but also realised that having ADHD means I am particularly attuned to environmental cues.

Mastering my nervous system regulation is the only way I realised I was going to be able to manage things and move forward in a calm headspace.

🧩 Flair Toolkit Update

I’ve added a medication tracker on the Flair Toolkit.

For everyone taking ADHD medication it’s a journey and tracking your symptoms is

important, so I’ve added a medication tracker and you can use this to see trends over time.

Don’t try to enter it daily just every couple of days would be good consistently so you can see the impact of the medication on yourself.

Please have a play, sign up and give me feedback so I can keep building fun tools to make neurodivergent life a bit more fun 🙂

Remember to share the Flair Toolkit if you find it helpful and for anyone else finding it helpful.

🌱 Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is coming up March 16th to March 20th.

I’m doing a few private speaking engagements — two in person at corporate offices which is super exciting. I love doing these talks as a way to make neurodivergent people feel seen, heard and celebrated during this week.

(I mean it’s a shame we only get one week for companies to show us they care about us) but it’s better than nothing.

I’m also organising an in person session in London

Around the Table: Conversations on Neurodiversity

🗓 Tuesday 17 March 🕡 18:30 – 19:30 📍 LSE Generate, London

  • To mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we’re creating an intimate, in-person space for reflection, discussion, and connection.

  • This is not a panel or a lecture. Instead, we’ll gather around small tables, each with thoughtfully designed discussion prompts related to neurodiversity, disability, identity, and work.

  • The aim is to create space for honest conversations, shared learning, and meaningful connection — whether you’re neurodivergent yourself or simply curious and committed to building more inclusive environments.

  • You do not need to identify as neurodivergent to attend. All that’s required is openness, curiosity, and respect.

This session is designed to be gentle, thoughtful, and human — a space to slow down, listen, and connect.

🚀 Building Flairya

In other news, I’m also looking to build out my neurotech platform, Flairya.

The idea is that it will be a go-to subscription for any SME or employee resource group that wants an actually useful product to help neurodivergent people in the workplace.

This platform has:

  • A disability / neurodivergent AI coach

  • Resources

  • Templates

  • An accommodations builder

I’m currently having conversations with Pollinate, Too Good To Go and Form3, which is super exciting.

If you work for a company that is interested in neurotech, i.e. you actually care about supporting neurodivergent people in your company, please reach out and connect me to your HR people!

I pitched this idea at the StartupGuide Summit Lisbon: Image below!

I saw this image and just thought this is so founder life! Please remember to follow, share this if you think it was helpful!

Wishing. youall lots of dopamine, Kim
